Love this and a couple of other of your Substack articles. I've been following your work for a while.

This one really relates a lot to my journey though too, and the stages I've been through.

I’m really looking forward to seeing this emerge in book form (yes, I’m a Luddite, guilty as charged). Noting the clinical importance of this as a tool for identifying shame-related shadow and integrating it. The more I see and hear from those near to me who are working through their developmental stuff, the more I realise that kink is a critical diagnostic tool and way to tackle deep rooted issues.

I am glad you find it value. Yes, The deVinery Method de-shames and de-pathologises sexual fantasies on a radical new level. The magic lies in moving beyond polarity-centric models like Jungian shadow work and into a generative paradox model.

Having said that, I have now trained several psychotherapists in The deVinery Method model and they have found it invaluable in assisting their clients in all areas of their lives, not just their sex lives. Taking a closer look at our sexual fantasies unlocks the keys to desire and consciousness in all areas, not just the bedroom.

I'm deep in research mode, studying the history of sex and the history of feminism. 45 books read so far, quite a few still to go. The plan is a sort of deeply researched memoir in essays, as I have a nontypical sexual history for a Gen X woman that I think could offer liberatory possibilities for other women. Thank you for asking!

It's such an important thing to share the ways we sexually liberated ourselves. It makes a huge difference for the millions still trying to unpick that knot.
